  1. These two posters have been presented in an effective and attractive way by the use of colours, pictures, headings, sub-headings and captions.

In image 1 the colour of the sky is shown in red, orange and yellow. Those colours remind me of fire, which maybe represent the car as hot and dangerous. Also the car is silver to show it's slick and smooth and stands out from all the other cars on the page. The angle the picture was taken is at a corner which makes the car look like it is moving and is very speedy. They have also made the headings, sub-headings and captions black which is the colour of the cars shadow so that the reader knows the captions are about this captivating car.

Image 2 is a poster that is warning people about texting while driving. The colours on this poster aren't quite as extravagant as Image 1, infact they are very simple. They have chosen to have a white background so that the blood stain and the cracked window stands out. The first thing that catches your eye when you look at this poster is the heading and the blood stain. This is because they are right in the middle of the cracked screen and are very dark colours. The caption on this poster states "Texting while driving is a deadly distraction" and this is shown in red. Why red? This is because it matches the colour of the blood therefore, making the caption more worrying and distressing.

  2. I think both of theses posters both have something in common and that is there trying to manipulate the reader into thinking that what they see in front of them is true. They may have that in common but the two images both have very different messages.

In poster one you can see the big picture of a flash car, right up in your face making that the first thing that the reader sees even before they've read the writing. The way the picture is shot shows the ground to be blurred giving the effect of the car moving fast. The background of fire shows the car off as hot and tough, showing the car in a attractive way.
The main heading that stands out in this image is 'Worlds Fastest' this immediately sets the readers mind into thinking that this car is fast, therefore it must be expensive.

The second poster of cracked glass and blood spatter has quit a different effect. The cracked glass resembles something bad has happened, the blood in the poster also contributes to that. The blood in the picture resembles death and destruction. The main title in that poster in the 'OMG' when the reader sees that they think in there mind 'Oh my god'. In a real situation 'Oh my god' is only used when some bad, good or dramatic has happened, so to use this on the poster shows that situation. The main title 'OMG' also links in with the rest of the poster about texting whilst driving.

  3. I think both of these images use subheadings in a similar way to help the reader understand the poster/front cover more

In Picture 1; The front cover, it uses subtitles to give the reader more information on what is inside the magazine, they are also used to give more detail on the heading. This can be useful because when it is in a shop and the reader is looking for something in particular it would be quicker for them to decide on whether that is the right magazine for them. "Driving the world record breaking 1244 bhp venom GT" this instantly tells the reader that inside that magazine you are going to find an article about the Venom GT.

In the second image; the poster, a subheading is used to send out a message to the reader. "Get the message. Texting while driving is a deadly distraction" this gets the message across in an effective but simple way.

  4. I think these two front covers have been using the use of colour differently but want to give the same effect.

In image 1 the front cover uses more colour of red, yellow and orange blended well together and this makes me think of fire and really hot, it gives me the thought that they are trying to show how powerful or fast the car is. The magazine title is very big and bold but with no colour so it grabs the reader's attention to make them want to read the magazine and the title also is quite big "World's Fastest" it makes you think of the car which is also shown in quite a way to make the reader want to buy the car then as it describes the car in the title and captions to give the reader an idea of what the car is like and also the car is silver and driving away from us with tyre tracks on the ground in great speed of the car so this all makes the reader think of how good the car is. It also uses sub-headings and captions to explain to the reader what is going to be in the magazine. This is quite attractive and gets the message across mostly through the image than the text.

In Image 2 the front cover uses a big and bold magazine title "OMG" with a background of what seems to be a cracked windscreen with blood on it, this gives you an idea of what the magazine is going to be about as there is blood on the windscreen to make you think of a car accident, then there are also captions to give you more information about what the magazine is about "Get the message. Texting while driving is a deadly distraction" this tells you that it is about texting while driving and with the image of the broken windscreen and blood it shows how bad the outcome of it can be. So that is quite effective rather than attractive with good use of language to convince their point to the reader which is good.
